Your Moment

The moment

You make a difference.

You spend so much time thinking about what others need to learn.

But sometimes the moments that matter most are not the ones you planned.

A few words.
A little patience.
A moment that made someone feel capable.

This is a moment to remember that.

The ritual

The Moments That Stay

Guided ritual

Step 1

Light the candle.

Watch the flame settle.

Take one slow breath.

For the next few minutes, there is nothing to prepare, correct, or finish.

Just pause.

Step 2

Think of one moment.

Not a whole school year.

Not a whole class.

Just one moment when you felt that something shifted.

Maybe someone understood.

Maybe someone tried again.

Maybe you simply knew that what you said had reached them.

Stay with that moment.

Step 3

Ask what really mattered.

Now ask yourself:

What made that moment meaningful?

Was it the lesson itself?

Or was it something else?

Patience?
Encouragement?
Trust?

Let one answer come.

Step 4

Think about what may have stayed.

Finish this sentence:

“I hope that moment left them with .”

Don’t overthink it.

Choose what feels true.

Step 5

Receive what this gift is saying.

Look at the candle.

Someone chose this for you because your work has meant something beyond the lesson itself.

You may never know every moment that stayed.

But some of them did.

Reflection

You may forget the moment you encouraged someone. They may remember it for years.

Closing message

You may never see every place your influence reaches.

Or every way one moment of patience, encouragement, or belief became part of someone else’s story.

But some of what you gave has already travelled with them.

Let this candle remind you of that.

You make a difference.

BELIEVE in what’s ahead.
